Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

No, we do not normally refund anyone who decides to cancel their participation. However, if this is your case, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to find a solution.

Is it possible to send an invoice to be paid later on?

No, each participant should pay online during the registration process. However, we can make an exception in certain situations. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to work something out.

Can I buy a ticket for a specific talk/conference only or a half-day ticket?

No, due to access control, we only offer 1-day or 2-day tickets.

Can I buy a 2-day ticket and use it for myself on one day and for a colleague/friend on the other day?

No, all tickets are personal and should only be used by the owner. In this case we recommend that you buy a 1-day ticket for each of you.

Who can attend the Networking Dinner?

All Black Alps attendees are welcome, but space is limited. Registration is mandatory. We have a "first come, first served" policy. The registration fee is CHF 120. It is not included in the conference ticket (except in the full package).

Who can attend the Black Dinner?

All Black Alps attendees are welcome. Seating is not limited and attendance is free of charge.

How do I register as a speaker for the Rump Session?

It is not possible to register before the event. Speakers will be invited to register during the conference.

Can you offer free places for students or special audiences?

No, as we are a non-profit organization with a limited budget, we cannot offer free access to anyone. If you would like to come with a group of students or other special audiences, please contact our team as soon as possible and we will try to offer a customized package.
